Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using BuildUrPalace ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

BuildUrPalace is a memory training game application that uses the Memory Palace technique (Method of Loci) to help users improve their memory through interactive gameplay.

3. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

Use the App only for lawful purposes
Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or hack the App
Not use the App in any way that could damage or impair the service
Comply with all applicable laws and regulations

4. Intellectual Property

All content in BuildUrPalace, including but not limited to graphics, icons, images, audio, and code, is the property of BuildUrPalace and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our explicit permission.

5. Game Progress and Data

Your game progress, your memory palaces and your purchase status are stored only on your device (see the Privacy Policy). If you have turned on your device's OS backup (iCloud / Google), they may be restored from that backup according to your backup settings. We do not keep a copy, so to the extent permitted by law we are not responsible for:

Loss of game data due to device failure, app deletion, or other causes
Inability to recover lost game progress
Data loss during device transfers or upgrades

6. Advertisements

The App shows advertisements provided by Google AdMob: a banner, occasional full-screen ads between games, and optional reward ads. Reward ads are shown only when you choose to watch one (to continue an endless run, retry the daily challenge, or get a hint); the reward is given only when the ad is watched to the end. Data handled by the ad network is described in our Privacy Policy, and you can change your ad choices in Settings → Ad privacy.

7. In-App Purchase: Remove Ads

What it is: "Remove Ads" is a one-time, non-consumable purchase. It is not a subscription and does not renew.
What it covers: it permanently turns off banner and full-screen ads in the App. Optional reward ads (continue, retry, hint) remain available because you choose to watch them.
Price: the price shown in the App is the localized price from the App Store or Google Play at the time of purchase.
Restoring: the purchase belongs to your App Store or Google Play account. After reinstalling the App or on another device signed in to the same store account, use Settings → Remove Ads → Restore Purchase.

8. Refunds

Payments are processed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play), and refunds follow the refund policy of the store where you bought the item. Request a refund from that store (Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com, Google Play: Google Play refund policy). This does not limit any rights you have under applicable consumer protection law.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT:

The App will be error-free or uninterrupted
Defects will be corrected
The App will meet your specific requirements

10. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE APP.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

12. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms of Service.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of Korea, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
